The Display module is meant to replace Current standing. Both will continue working parallel to each other for quite some time for those of you who want to continue using Current standing. Download Display files and view preview samples further down on this page. For more details, please refer to the Documentation section of this website. Both the documents about Display and Current standing are useful to read. Internet browsers The resulting .htm files work in all browsers. However, there are drawbacks to using Internet Explorer since some features do not work properly. Please use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for best possible result. Download MCY files Display files that Magic Contest imports have the file extention .mcy. Downloading such files can cause different kinds of problems depending on what internet browser is used. To solve that problem, all Display files are "zipped", i.e. placed inside a .zip file. The way to download and use such a file is the following: Option A - Save the ZIP file
Option B - Save the MCY file (which allows you to make changes)
Now you can continue according to the documentation to select the .mcy file in Magic Contest.
Pre-defined Display files
Please, no more information. I really just want to download files.
Some Display files have a dimension suffix such as 1024x768 or
1920x1020 whereas other reports have no such suffix.
If there are too many names on the non-suffixed reports, they just
show all names on one page, which may or may not fit the screen it is
shown one, and then every 15 seconds it scrolls down in order to show
all names. This unfortunately hides the title and the row headers which
is far from optimal.
The reports with the dimension suffix are tailor-made for just that
size. This means that only so many names show on one page. When the 15
seconds have passed, the page changes into a completely new page with
the next interval of pairs to be shown.
The obvious drawback with the dimensioned reports is that a design for
one size does not work optimally on another size. That is just how it
is.
Each Display comes in five different versions that each corresponds to
the available visual profiles in Magic Contest. As the development of
the Display module progresses, those visual profiles may change a litte,
or new visual profiles may be added.
A new website called www.magicscoring.com is slowly taking shape. That website has a
download page for Display files that replaces
this page.
All the below examples are still valid. However, all new examples will be added to the new website.
