Once upon a time I developed tailor-made database solutions for a living. Those days are over.
At the moment I work with bridge 100% (and more) of the time, sharing my time between developing bridge scoring software and scoring bridge events.
With higher demands scoring is so much more than retrieving just results and printing results.
Nowadays it is more a technical position than anything else. It includes everything from scoring to setting up computer networks, displaying results at the venue on projectors and plasma TV:s, and using internet for continuous result reporting.
Tools
The bridge software is developed using C++. Web
reporting is preferably done in PHP.
